Thank you very much for your TED talk on the toaster project. It is really fun and instructive.
A (very small) correction to the presentation: Rio Tinto (red river in spanish) is located in the province of Huelva, in Spain, not in Portugal.
Best regards,

Listened to your talk at Clerkenwell Design Week. It was really inspiring and eye-opening to a lot we take for granted. All the best!

String Theory invalidates Religion and Evolution. The conclusion from that being Life is a single superpositional organism of infinite possibility and therefore created the universe from outside.

Just finished reading your book and I absolutely loved it! I am going out to buy a copy of it, belongs in the permanent collection lol (had a library copy before). Cannot say enough how great a book it was and the toaster looks fan-shmabulous <3

Greetings Mr.Thwaites,
I just saw your interview on the Colbert Report, and it was brilliant! I am currently doing graduate work in neuroscience, and as soon as I get a chance to breathe (from all my work) I intend to read your book.
Best,
Thomas B

Hello!
I just saw you on the Colbert Report and I thought your energy and enthusiasm for your project was incredible! It’s refreshing to see culturally relevant and original art that still retains a sense of humor. As an art student I appreciate the lightheartedness in a world were most people seem to take themselves WAY too seriously. You’re too cool.

I just watched your interview with Steve Colbert and I’m in love. Your energy is invigorating and your passion for your project is amazing! Just curious, what type of microwave does your mom have that will cook iron ore? Well all the best to you in your endeavors.

Hi Thomas, Saw you on Colbert last night. Thought you were highly entertaining and very interesting. Can’t wait to read The Toaster Project. Now please join Twitter!

Hi Tom. Very impressed with what you’ve done since your degree. I’ve just ordered my copy of The Toaster Project. I have just been hammering the students I teach about being people who ‘do’. I’ll be showing one of your inspirational videos to them sometime soon. Well done!
Must say, didn’t foresee you doing this when I sat next to you in Physics, then again, I couldn’t have imagined you doing anything dull either.

As a designer and model maker, I’m fascinated with “how things work” and your book touched a nerve! Almost ten years ago, my partner Marilyn Pride and I created a fantasy comic about a scavenger city attempting to deal with human techno-waste. (probably inspired by childhood memories of the “Clangers”) I mention toasters in that story for the very same symbolic reasons you did when selecting your project.
I found your book stimulating and thought provoking. Our website above will take you to our comic “Red World Holiday” and it’s mention of toasters! Our more up to date website is http://www.morleypride.com Thank you for a very entertaining book!
